Welcome to the Expedition Forum.
This sight is primarily for SOAR owners that are looking for other SOAR owners and other boaters to join in an expedition or river trip.

I have had several requests over the years for this kind of forum, so I am looking forward to bringing people together that have a passion for wilderness river trips.

Personally, I also hope to be able to join you on a trip, and that we can meet Somewhere On A River!

Greta idea to combine forces to promote our love of rivers. I'm about to do a few solo trips in Thailand (Umphang, Thai-Burma border....August 2004)and in about 5 months, fingers crossed, a monsoon Mekong trip. Would love to expand the crew from 1 to 3 or 4, get a few hardboaters on deck and make away cool doco.

My biggest project is in Far North Queensland, Australia but I'll keep that plan a bit closer to my chest.

I'll keep posting here as my trips gain momentum.

I've got my video gear all sorted, editing suite (Apple Powerbook, FCP 4) all sorted out. All it is now is finishing my stint in Korea (1 month to go)and I'm there.

Well done Soar.

I am interested in hearing from paddlers in the Sonoma, Mendocino & HumCo region. I love my SOAR12. Nice work Larry.

Re: "Expeditions Wanted"--Larry, thanks so much for the support and encourgement of us all in this sport!  Great product, great network, great subject...I feel like I'm "home"!!

I will be posting to this thread in the future!  I've organized trips for hardshells on the Eel [MF] the last 2 years, and have all the gear for groups up to 20 or so.  Now that I have  a SOAR [and my youngest out of the house]....well, lets just say the house and job may be on the chopping block!   Edog.

Well, it is a little late to invite others to join us on this trip, but we just put together and ran a 5-day trip on the Lower Pecos River in Texas that was outstanding - six guys in 3 - S16's, 2 - S14's and 1 - S12. It was a spur-of-the-moment trip made possible by the river rising quickly after heavy rains in Northern New Mexico and the Texas Panhandle.
