I recently did a 300 mile trip from the source of the Green River to Split Mountain, Utah. The SOAR is a perfect boat for this kind of trip. If you are interested, go to http://www.paddleon.net and click on "Featured Trips" or "Green River."

This was my first trip with a new oar frame that I had made from NRS parts. It worked very well and I can send details to anyone who wants them.

Great trip, Bryan!   I know I"d love to see more photos.
The oar frame is also looks great, and I'm sure it gave you some good leverage crossing Flaming Gorge Res.

Bryan,

Loved the trip report on paddle on.net.  I am currently working with the NRS Frame Shop to fabricate a frame for my 14-ft SOAR.  I would really appreciate it if you would send me the specifications of your frame and any additional pictures you might have.  Any other tips you could provide would be most helpful.  Also, what length and brand of oars did you use? I am hoping to have the frame completed in time for an August Rio Chama trip.

Thanks,
